An industrial design education begins with a grounding in design fundamentals, and through understanding of aesthetics, functions and use of materials and engineering needs. Good design means efficient design, this will improve the daily lives of people through the creation of products and environment that meet human needs.
The three-year Industrial Design program emphasizes the hands-on approach to solving design problems. The students will be immersed in every phase of design, from original ideas to building 3-D prototypes while learning the manufacturing processes and marketing strategies.
Design projects cover areas such as consumer goods, leisure and sporting equipment, workshop machinery and hardware, medical and educational equipment, products for disabled people, electronics and design for transportation.
