MIA, a pioneer not-for-profit private institute of higher learning in Malaysia, has a rich tradition and history of excellence, with thousands of outstanding alumni in the creative professional fields. Our goal is to provide our students with the tools they need to refine and develop their creative talent and technical skills they need to succeed as professionals. The accreditation granted by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA ) to all the courses offered by MIA is a testimony of quality education we provide. Malaysian students enrolled in accredited courses are eligible to apply for the government’s PTPTN loan.
In line with the commitment to provide quality education in a conducive environment, we have recently spent over RM 2 million to further enhance our interior set-up and upgrade our computers and teaching facilities. Our computer lab is equipped with the most advanced Apple iMAC computers complete with Adobe CS4 package and PCs with a range of the latest software for 2D-3D and animation design. Our classrooms and studios are installed with plasma TV sets and LCD projectors to facilitate teaching and learning through computer technology. The provision of the latest computers, software, books, periodicals and WiFi creates an excellent learning environment for students to develop their creative potentials in their careers.

Our staff utilize computer technology and digital communication to enhance the outcomes of teaching and learning in art, design and music. They also make every effort to incorporate contemporary design trends, approaches, methodologies and local multi-cultural values into the course contents to enhance quality in our study programmes for professional artists, designers and musicians.
MIA also maintains a very strong link with overseas universities to which our graduates may proceed to complete their BA and Master’s degree programmes through advanced placement or credit transfer in UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Taiwan and USA as our Diploma is well recognized by our partner universities.
